At Large

Loppukäyttäjiä edustaa ICANN:n rakenteessa At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) kolmiportaisen maailmanlaajuisen At Large-organisaation huipulla.  Perusrakenteet ovat maakohtaisia: ISOC:n chaptereita, kuluttajajärjestöjä, akateemisia yhdistyksiä, Wikipedia-aktivistiryhmiä... Perusrakenteita oli vuoden 2016 alussa kaikkiaan noin 200, ja niiden määrä on kasvussa.

At Largen perusrakenteet muodostavat viisi alueellista järjestöä (Regional At-Large Organizations, RALO).

At Large osallistuu ICANN:n päätöksentekoon neuvoa-antavassa roolissa, jonka vahvuuteen vaikuttaa paljolti sen perusyksiköiden ja aluejärjestöjen aktiivisuus.

In the ICANN structure, end-users are represented by the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), which is the apex of the three-stage global At-Large Organization. At the grassroots level, At-Large Structures are a diverse group of ISOC chapters, consumer organizations, academic associations, Wikipedia activists...There are (2016) more than 200 ALS’s, and the number is growing.

ALS’s compose five Regional At-Large Organizations (RALO’s).

At-Large participates in ICANN’s policy development  through ALAC in an advisory role.  The strength of that role depends a lot on the activity of the ALS’s and RALO’s.
